did I read that correctly?  This is to be a company weapon for the light infantry ie. dismounted? some dude is going to have carry that? Jeepers H. Crackers, I wouldn't want to be him.

you can do more than just switch the C9 and canteen pouch. Don't forget that you can have two of either, or even rotate them 90 degrees.

If you are racing, and you are strong enough, then yes.  but if you want to take it easy, use a lower gear which will cause you to go slower.  When climbing, it is best to keep a high cadence (revolutions per minute)

Basic rule to follow: If your legs are getting tired, use an easier gear. if your heart and lungs are getting tired, use a harder gear.
