    Occupational Change for Reserves

Do you have a Service Battalion (or det of one) in your immediate area? If you don't, your request for OT will likely not be supported (a one-of unskilled Supply Tech Pte is of no use to anyone).

    2004 Expert Field Medical Competition

I was there as a Participant. Overall, I thought it a great time, a lot of different and challenging stands. Didn't care for the walk back and forth from the 'rest area' to the 'staging area' (I forget the proper names used). That was 10 years ago, so the details are a little foggy, but I do...

    Postings in winnipeg

To be fair, Winnipeg has all the necessary support trades as well, which includes the purple trades (Supply, Comms, RMS, etc) as well as "Army" trades (Veh Tech, EO Tech, etc) within the Log & Engr organization.

Newly enrolled and untrained 2Lt looking for advice on paying compliments

His experience isn't uncommon in the Reserve Force. Officers were excluded from attending the PAT platoon activities, in favour of following an officer around in his/her duties. Odds are that no, he has not received the actual scroll, but as a Direct Entry Officer, he is a 2Lt (vice the RESO...

Criminal record while in the force

Depending on what you did and the sentence imposed, you might not find yourself in the CF anymore. To answer your other questions (Go overseas, and to USA): Maybe. If you stay in, your employment limitations would be clearly spelled out for you. If you couldn't go overseas, you are in breach...

    AR//MEL Confused

If you're talking about receiving a message from DMCA about a AR/MEL, it could just be the message stating that a file has been started. If that's the case, the disclosure package, etc will be coming to you within a month or so.

'Hated' church group to protest Tim McLean funeral

http://www.winnipegsun.com/News/Manitoba/2008/08/08/6388411.html But this will not be taken sitting down by Manitobans. "It may be a tense or ugly situation because a group of outraged Manitobans, spearheaded by Winnipeg Beach resident Jim Cotton, who doesn’t know the McLean family, plans to...

If I apply to Naval Reserves will I have a hard time getting CLS B Army RMS jobs

I can't speak for Kingston, but I know that RMS Trades (no matter the element) are in high demand in the Winnipeg/Regina/Saskatoon regions. My home unit is currently employing a Naval Reserve RMS Clerk, and it's Army-Medical.

SSLI? Not an active Reserve unit, you know that right? There's two Infantry regiments in SK, the Royal Regina Rifles and the N Sask R.

    The Judge Superthread- Merged Topics

Why? While having these three guys learn english, and get full time jobs would make them effective members of society, you'd almost expect them to have these goals already (if they were interested in becoming effective members of society, that is). While a "conspiracy to commit robbery" isn't...

Why we pay Reservists what we do (Including Reg v.s. Cl B v.s. Cl C pay, and Double-Dippin')

While the idea of a pay raise is nice, it opens the door to a negative possible outcome as well. I know that Reg F organizations have differing levels of Funding available for Class Bs. If the average salary of a reservist goes up, and the funding available does not (I can't expect that it...
