The course is going away, that parts not a rumour. I'm very curious about the two basic thing, I hope theres some form of announcement soon. 2006/2007 is the last year we're using the current training plan so we should get word shortly.

Ha ha I just remembered something that made me laugh. One company went all out with the parade positions and had all sorts of inappropriate positions such as: RSM, Adj, and DCO. It was fun to watch, though.

She was the Pde Comd, the CSM was some tall boy. I can't remember his name. She shouldn't have had the sword belt and pace stick, he should have; however it looks cool so I figured I give it too her.

The one that always gets me is the speed at which Cadets march. I'd guess the avergae speed for Army Cadets is around 90 paces per minute here in BC, based mostly I'd guess on the Pipes Bands cadets march with from time to time. Then we had some Air and Sea Cadets come to VACSTC on their way to...

Rumour had it when VACSTC runs out of OD they'll switch over to CADETPAT... but like all long-term plans in Cadets it's best to see what happens.

You also have entitlement to an extra mint green shirt and CF Dress Pants from your LHQ, to be temp loaned. Don't bring any private-funds kit unless it's from your unit, or is trivial such as a bush hat. Boots, jackets, pants are all no-go.

Coming into the army cadet programme is probably a lot easier than leaving it for Sea or Air IHMO. There is a lot to learn, but many Sea Cadets/Air Cadets that come from strong units have actually recieved a signifigant portion of the training as it is. Really it all comes down to your ability...
