meanwhile an Member of parliament serves 4 years and gets a full pension........That will pay 50%.
Or, stay in, the Regular Force, for the whole ride and retire on 70%.

We would need to adjust downward the expectations somewhat for Jr members in technical jobs then, while increasing the pool of them to choose from for advancement. The CAF needs to rethink its retention centric view, and plan on a broad base that uses gating for regular renewal. If you view anything below 25 years as a fail, you fail.
This means a need to invest in the schoolhouses for DP1, to fix policies and processes to streamline intake, to reduce time to OFP, and to accept that attrition that is too low is an organizational problem, not a benefit.
No. They do not.meanwhile an Member of parliament serves 4 years and gets a full pension........
ACSO enters the chatThe jokes are hilarious, but also highlight the problem. How do you sell military jobs that people joke about all the time to potential recruits? Not just Met, but Int, HRA, FSA, cook, etc...
There are lots of critical jobs that we as a society denigrate, so how do you convince people to do them in uniform, with all of the drawbacks that entails? Most people don't think pensions and benefits when signing up for jobs when they are young, so while they are good retention tools, I doubt they help with recruiting in most cases.
I think I’m probably falling victim to “hey they mentioned my thing! I wanna talk about my thing !” Vs talking about the topic lol.Agreed. But like all good Siggies, I never bank on P in PACE and look at how else we can get the message passed. A/G/A has many ways to skin the cat.
What else did you fail out of between Pilot and getting ASCO then ?ACSO enters the chat
It may come as a shock to some, but some of us didn’t pick it because we failed out of Pilot training.
That’s just for MARS, right?ACSO enters the chat

As a comparison, here is what the USAF Reserve spams people on Reddit:
The best part, to me at least, is that aside from the (probably stock) F-15 flying shot, everything else is pretty easy to shoot.Where do I sign up????
Pretty good...
Hey now, marching in circles & using a SAT trainer is important work, m'kay...??Cool.
Now they need to do underfunded Reserve units in other parts of the country with obsolete, dilapidated kit, no spare parts or spare vehicles and no cool missions like a Jump company.
No? Strange...
I’m sure there are US Reserve / National Guard units that don’t seem to do a lot either, until they get called up.Hey now, marching in circles & using a SAT trainer is important work, m'kay...??
