I have a little pocket-exacto knife that has always seemed to do the trick for me.

I picked up a cheap gerber ($14) after my issued one was destroyed and so far this year it has survived A long cold trip in the Arctic and 5 Exercises this year.  So far it seems that it works better for me than anything else.  My issue gerber is now packed in the ruck as a back up.

i have the Swiss army Victorianox, nice nife, and i have used it on many occasions... but i have my Gerber Suspension to help me out of my hairy escapades... like using the pliers to fix a muffler back into place on my skidoo after hittin a tree, or fine tuning parts on the snowblower... that knife is not a knife.... it's an unusable toolbox that looks like a knife... theres my 2 cents
