Does anyone know of a company that would make one of these (have seen called 'windbluse' and 'windjacke' of the Gebirgsjagers)?  It seemed to be standard issue for those Gebirgs (mountain troops), worn by Burton, Eastwood, et al in Where Eagles Dare   ;)  I thought it'd be perfect for hiking, camping, etc. - especially with those three chest pockets and that all the holes seem to tighten up nicely.

So far, I have found one at Lost Battalions for $250 US and a cheaper on on ebay.  I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any sites for companies who might do this at a good price?

Micahel Dorosh is an historian, though I'm not really certain how he can be contacted.  I think he's been a propmaster or SME in a few WWII movies.

Most good Tailors, if given the pattern could do it for you.  All you need is the Patterns.

I have a friend, Tony Schurr, who is into collecting German Uniforms, unfortunately they are from the turn of the last Century, not WW II.  http://www.kaisersbunker.com/

If all you want it for is hiking, there are modern versions of this jacket available. Any store with a good range of camping/hiking gear should carry them. I believe I’ve seen a modern copy in the L.L. Bean catalogue.

Lost Battalions in Texas makes a repro of this anorak. Here's the link:
