Armament for one. We mounted a GPMG on the Ferret. The Lynx was .50 BMG and GPMG.
The Ferret was almost silent compared to the roar and smoke of a diesel.
The Lynx was all around protection where as the Ferret was open topped.
Ferret was small and easily hidden.
While it couldn't match tracks cross country, it could still navigate easily as long as you followed the rules. i.e.- Don't go where bullrushes grow.
5 gears forward and the same in reverse gave 60mph in either direction.
