So, does anyone know the rest of the words to "Three German Soldiers Crossed the Rhine"? I can get to the featherbed part, but I need to know what happened next.

Gunnar

Hmm.

Obviously you have the "zeig heil, tickle my @$$ taboo" in order.

The feather bed is followed by:

Three German soldiers went to **** , (insert refrain-3x)
followed by: “they *ucked the devil and his wife as well, and they all sang (insert refrain)

If you need more leave a note.

Running Cadence

Look under "offensive"

Is this cadence Canadian in origin since the version of the one listed here has "newfies" in it. I know we dont really sing cadences, just curious

I don‘t know if it‘s Canadian in origin, but I‘ve heard it from cadets, to reservists, to reg force members across Canada.

If you‘re looking for more dirty marching songs, look for the book "Songs from the Front and the Rear", full of dirty army songs for you.

Of historical note, the song is originally a US civil war era song called "When Johnny comes Marching Home". A copy can be found at:http://www.contemplator.com/folk/whenjohn.html
