I have just returned from the 60th Annual General Meeting of the PPCLI Association in Calgary. It was a thoroughly successful and enjoyable event. Of 800-odd paid up members, over 400 attended - aided no doubt by the attendance of both Lady Patricia and Mme Clarkson, as they conducted a "relief-in-place" as Patron of the Association.
Social highlights of the weekend included a Meet and Greet at the Ogden Legion, a Dinner Dance, a pancake breakfast at the Military Museums(supported by 1 PPCLI, with breakfast served to the "troops" by CO and RSM of 1 PPCLI), and a Memorial Service. I met many old friends, and made a few new ones as well. It is great to see that the Association is healthy and vibrant as we lead up to celebrating the Regiment's 100th Aniversary in 2014.
