Even though it will come to us all, hearing them announce his passing was a wow moment for me.  Always liked the man and his work.  RIP Sir.  :'(

We have lost a giant of science. I don't mean to be flip, but I think the cosmos has a sense of humour seeing as he passed on Pi Day.

Pi day, Modlrmike, is also (coincidentally?) the birth day of Albert Einstein.

Anyway, our world is a lesser place today with the loss of such a great mind.

My first exposure to him (I'm somewhat ashamed to admit...) was hearing his voice track in the Pink Floyd song Keep Talking, which appeared on the album Division Bell in 1994:

"For millions of years mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination: we learned to talk"

Good-bye Mr Hawking. :salute:

RIP Sir!
I only ever saw him on 'The Big Bang Theory'.  I wonder if they will do an episode on his passing.

Sad day indeed, we need more great thinkers, but we seem to lose them to fast.

May he RIP
Abdullah
