I normally try to avoid posting questions on the recruiting board as I could easily find my answers and I thought I really had everything together, as my exam and interview had went spectacular and everything was coming along. To anyone going through the application process, I'd just like to say that you absolutely need to stay in touch with your recruiter. I called them when I needed to but during a long period of waiting I left it as is for not wanting to bother them. Now, it's unlikely I'll be able to join the reserves.
My story to those who are interested.
Around November of last year I became interested in the Naval reserves. I missed the opening for the position I wanted but kept in touch. By talking to different people at different reserves I ended speaking with the Commanding Officer at my local service reserve and found out that although the resever had never had an EME officer before but they would interested in having one. (The only reason why I hadn't been interested in becoming an EME Officer before was that I was told my by recruiter that they didn't recruit EME Officers at that particular reserve.). In April I wrote the CFAT and had my interview scheduled (but for some reason I was listed as applying for Reg Force instead of Reserves so it didn't happen) and in May I moved from the city to a small town for a new job, I kept in touch with reserves and even worked out a deal with the reserve I was applying to so that I would parade once a month with them and parade more regularly in a closer artillery reserve while I lived in the small town. I even stated before accepting my new position that I intended on joining the reserves and was hoping to train during weekends that winter. In mid September I had my interview, medical and physical. I was asked to provide my eye prescription and was awaiting a medical appointment with a specialist and I was required to submit his findings (there was another mix up in my interview as they thought I was applying for a reservist Log O, but I was still able to complete it). After completing my physical I went to my optometrist and got my prescription, I then went back and gave it to the recruiting centre. I called the specialist and was able to get my appointment in the first week of October and I was totally fine to join the CF. I mailed his findings to the reserve and called a week later to confirm if they had received the doctor's letter. They had recieved and said that all that had to happen now was that it would get sent to Ottawa and I've have to wait and hear back. I waited and waited, I should have called during this time, finally I call in early Decemeber to ask what was happening. I found out that they were missing my eye prescription, but if I could get it faxed it would get sent that day. I called my optometrist and they said they would fax it immediately. Again, I should have called the recruiting centre immediately after because I called again today and they still were missing my prescription. Finally today it was faxed and I confirmed with the recruiting centre but unfortunately the winter session is either full or amost full and it's almost January and it is all but guaranteed that I won't be attending this winter. I work underground as a maintenance engineer in a mine and summer is the busiest time of the year for maintenance as we have a production shutdown in the summer, so I think it's highly unlikely that I'll be able to get the time off over the summer.
There have been some extremely helpful people from three reserves across two provinces that have helped me so far, not to mention my supervisor at my company, I know at least one them reads these forums, so thank to those who have helped me. I am highly doubtful that the stars are going to align again like they have already but I guess once again I'll have to wait and see.

Unless of course, your body just does not agree. Sorry to hear about your mixup.
