Hey folks.

I'm almost certain it was hear I read over the past maybe two years about a member of our government saying soldiers were cheaper dead than injured or words to that effect. I did a search and came up empty handed. Can anyone help me out on that?

Oh yes the Pat Stogran debacle...says not a peep for years until his final months when he finds out his contract isn't being renewed.  Great ombudsman  ::), hope the door didn't hit him on the way out.

I think this is the discussion on Milnet.ca that first quoted Pat Stogran's statement.

Have you heard anything from the current Ombudsman since he was appointed?  Can you name him without looking it up?

I'll take Stogran back, thanks.

Nope his term isn't up for renewal is it?  ;)

Without looking it up, I am sure it was his deputy and an ex-CWO at that, can't remember his name off hand and have no desire to look it up.

You can have him, as I have seen him as both as an officer and a public servant and wasn't greatly impressed by either example.
