I didn’t know him, but work with a few who remember him fondly.

It is our sad duty to inform you of the passing of Sergeant Jeff (Hoss) Lindsay, in Yellowknife NWT on Saturday evening. Sgt. Lindsay was a proud and respected member of 56 Field. His dedication and commitment to the regiment and 69 Battery was immeasurable. In the days leading up to this Regiment's largest overseas deployment since WW2, Sgt Lindsay was instrumental in preparing our soldiers for the rigours of Afghanistan and leading by example he himself deployed on Task Force 1 - 10 to Afghanistan. On his transfer to the regular force he served with 2 RCHA and more recently with the 1 CRPG in Yellowknife. He was an outstanding soldier, a veteran, and a fierce and loyal friend. Sgt. Lindsay is survived by his wife Nadia, and their two sons. Further information to follow with respect to funeral arrangements.
We will forever be reminded of his outstanding service to our Regiment by the poignant mural he painted at the Regimental Headquarters in Brantford.
End of mission, stand easy.
