Recent discussion with a Korean War Vet; a request or search for a name came up. Believed to be the spring or early summer of 1952, five RCR's set out on a sniper mission lead by a Cpl. nicknamed "Blackie" near Hill 236 or 228. The five man unit was hit, not before "Blackie" spotted the ambush and yelled back to his men. It is believed that the Cpl. was killed and another man wounded. I have searched, but do not see a Cpl. Black of the RCR's, although there was a Cpl. Black with the PPCLI.
