This is a pic of some shrapnel from a 122mm HE rocket, which had landed recently, all too close for comfort. This is some of the casing, but shrapnel, similar to 105/155 HE rds was also abundant.
Imagine the damage this shrapnel could have produced if it struck someone. This rocket injured five Australians. Not an OPSEC issue, the qty of pers hurt was relaesed, and all over the media at the time.

Yes, and it was hot around 48C, and no clouds of course.
