Just wondering what kind of training recruiters undergo before they can work at the rercuiting center?

They attend a three week National Recruiting Course and are required to complete an On the Job Training Package (OJT).

kincanucks - is that applicable to essentially everyone in the CFRC, or just the front-of-house types?

All personnel posted to a CFRC/D must attend a National Recruiting Course with two weeks of training for Counsellors and Clerks and three weeks for recruiters.

The course has changed somewhat.  With about  three weeks for all three, MCCs, recruiters and clerks.  It includes a common phase for all three then they break off for specific training and converge at the end for a sort of final ex.  There is also an OJT portion.  The course has been reviewed and re written to make it into an actual qualification.  The plan was to have a "recruiter school" up and running in Borden but has been put off until next summer I would guess.

recently saw a Class C job advertisement for someone to go to Borden to run the MCC portion.

Any requirements (rank, courses, etc.) that are required before you can apply to be a recruiter?

Let your chain of command know you are interested in working in recruiting. One good way is to volunteer to be a "recruiter for a day" where you assist a recruiter with presentations or manning a display. It's a great way to get insight into the working of the recruiting system.
