Question-Calling Someone In The Military

Hi there,

How do soldiers get in contact with their friends and families? By phone, internet, mail? I'm not very familiar with the whole army thing...(obviously) I'm asking because a friend of mine is in the army and he's located in Edmonton. I would like to know how I can get in touch with him.

An answer would be greatly appreciated.

If he uses Hotmail or Yahoo, and you know the address, try an email, he probably checks that. If you know his unit, try sending a letter in care of the unit and base. May take awhile for it to get through the system though. Also, try Canada 411 on the internet. If he has a listed phone, you‘ll probably find it there.
