Pte (R) during basic
Pte (B) is used if memory serves, only on pay statements to indicate that the member is not trade qualified. (Any RMS Clerks around to correct me?)
Pte (T) after completing trades course
Pte Trained is when you get your first chevron, usually sometime after QL3. In the reg force it is about 2.5-3 years in. Unfortunately there is no pay raise when you receive your first hook.
