Good day all

Is there a list of thing that would give you more point on the merit board?

Ex: French or English profile can boost someone on top of the merit board

And how many years of good PER a Cpl need before he gets on the merit board 2 or 3

I am asking since last year, my WO gave me my PER and told me that for a first years CPL he never seen a PER that good...
And I know that this year I should have a good PER too.

If my name gets to the top of the list does this guaranty me a MCPL promotion?

I posting affect you position in the merit board too

Just wondering why you think you want/think you are eligible for appointment to MCpl just because your first PER was good and are awaiting your second(which you think will be good).  Was your first PER developing or ready, etc?  Are you QL5/DP2 qualified?

Completing OPMEs can also get you points.

Language skills do receive differing amounts of weight, depending on the rank.  As you go up in rank, mrore points are warded for greater proficiency.


How long before your PER hits the board varies between occupations, varies depending on the health of the occupation, and any number of other factors that are well outside your control.
