Packages in basic training

Hey my boyfriend just went to basic training. I didn’t think I could send him any packages while he’s in basic but he told me him mom has been sending him cigarettes. Am I able to send small snacks or packets of tea?

Perfectly acceptable. He is in basic training, not in jail. Just don't send him anything illegal or inappropriate that could embarrass him.

Personally, I think it's his mother who should stop sending him cigarettes. That stuff will kill you and there is already enough other stuff that will in the military.
