I'm looking to replace a pace stick for a friend whose pace stick was stolen.

I see on William Scully there is a Racer/Competition stick and a Regulation Ceremonial that is more expensive - what is the difference, other than $150?  Also is it just preference between natural and black or is it Rifle regiment tradition to use a black pace stick, etc

Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative to Scully....$300 plus s&t seems pretty steep.  I was also hoping to get it personalized - like his name lasered into the wood but Scully said they wouldn't do that.

Thanks for the help.

Also mods, I see I have a WTB Sword ad in the trade forum - feel free to close the topic.

Rifle regiment tradition to use a black pace stick. Also Armoured Corp and the Black Watch I believe.

Way back when, NCOs in the RCR carried black pace sticks. Not sure of today.

Way back when, NCOs in The RCR carried black pace sticks.

I believe when the two Reg F Black Watch Bns in 1970 were taken out of the ORBAT, and the pers went to The RCR the tradition of black sticks carried on.

Someone here knows.
