I think the RCD page may need some updating.

I know the MGS is having some teething problems so I guess they have reactivated some other vehicles they had lying around.

Those DND sites seldom get updated.  That one is 'definitely' out of date.......even before it was posted.  ;D

Hmmm....
Does that mean they do (or don't) have two of those beasties ?  :)

Repeat after me: The MGS is a brand new concept to replace the obsolete tank, ignore the doomsayers

repeat as required to drown out the doubters

What are the chances i could perhaps get qual'd on the Vickers? I mean, my granddad would be able to instruct the course and we could go out and fight the Italians at Beda Fomm when we get time off. It'd be so much fun and we could hammer it and hopefully get to that maximum of 35k! I saw lets bring it back!

Well Trooper Hale

Get a German Weiesl, mount a .50 cal and a GPMG on it, and what you have will be damm close!

I disagree that the LeoC2A5 is by any means obsolete. I find it interesting that on a recent "10 Best" episode on the Discovery Channel, the Leopard C2 was ranked #1. Ok, maybe not the best endorsement I could find, but still. I like this tank and the dinosaur in me prefers the idea of being "supported" by this system as opposed to a new "concept".

However, times they have changed and I'll allow for that by referring to this, a dated essay from 2003, but some of the points are still relevant.

I want my cake and I want to eat it too...  ;D

er...Enzo...they were talking about the Leopard 2...specifically the Leo 2 A5/6

Our C2 is a Leopard 1 A3 (only turret...less the hull) modified to A5 IIRC.

Colin - Sorry, I didn't pick up on that, my bad. I blame my gf of course for neglecting to make coffee this morning.

Recce - I was mistaken, once again, my bad. I'm 2 for 2 and it isn't even noon. I of course blame my gf for neglecting... ;D

Small arms are my forté, the big noisy things that spew diesel in their wake. I'm still learning. Switching back to my ears/eyes as primary today.
