New CT Entry Standards for LogO & Ammo Tech

Following an extensive review with Occupational & Environmental Co-advisors and DPGR staff, the entry standards for Logistics Officers have been updated.

LOGISTICS OFFICERS

The major change in the revised entry standards is that an ideal or specific acceptable baccalaureate degree is now obligatory for the following entry programs: Direct Entry Officer (DEO), Special Commissioning Plan (SCP), Component Transfer (CT), Occupational Transfer (OT), Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP) and University Training Plan for Non-Commissioned Members (UTPNCM).  The list of acceptable and ideal degrees has been updated based on service requirements and in-line with industry availability.  This list will periodically be revised based on the development of new academic programs and service requirements.  Further, students attending Royal Military College of Canada will be offered the option to choose from four new Joint Business Administration degrees.

AMMUNITION TECHNICIAN
The Occupational Analysis committee recommended some minor changes for the entry standards of the Ammunition Technician trade. The new entry standards for Ammo Tech can be found at [DWAN].

RE: LogO CTs, does this mean that NO degree falling outside of the DWAN-listed degrees are being accepted? Are they literally looking for "B.A. Public Administration" (as one "ideal" education background) to be listed on the MPRR, or just experience that could be reasonably linked to experience in Public Administration?

My understanding is that if you do not have one of the Ideal or Acceptable degrees they will not accept your file.

There are sufficient applicants that they are using the degree as a first filter; from there, further selection will be done.

If you don't possess either, one of the "ideal" or one of the "acceptable" undergrad degrees listed, then you don't meet the minimum education requirements for Log O and would not be eligible for the occupation.
