So I hope some of you will enjoy reading about my OT experience.I have spend the last 2 days reading anout the various OT tread and have  found some good stories.I left for chritsmas vacation this year ready to release from the CAF after 12 years of services ha8ving been offer different education opportunity but the whole thing was stressing me and would have been financially difficult.During my vacation i had the chance to talk with my wife and we both decided to continue with my career in the forces and try  for a OT.I have research different trade during the chritsmas block leave and find a trade that i would enjoy.

DAY 1:The first day back to work was the hardest.I told my supervisor and coworker that i wasnt releasing anymore made me look like i chicken out got a few joke and laugh as i had been planning my release for over a year but everyone qas quite happy at the end.The same day  I find out the dead line for the application the  12 of  FEBRUARY it is in a month so i started filling the form that i got from the BPSO via email and  got my supervisor to write the referral letter while i was working on the recommendation letter and memo.I presented myself on my first day at the MIR and was able to secure a apointment with a DR the same day to get my medical profile approuved.I went to see my clerck and explained them what i was doing and got them in the loop.

DAY 2 my paperwork was returned to me a few time for correction got those done and was able to obtain my platoon commander signature. The paperwork got send to Div level .Keep in mind i personally walk the paper to every office and had the canforgen with the dead line in order to explain the tight dead8

DAY 3 more correction  were made and took apointment with BPSO in order to get the result.

DAY 4 forms and paper came back with  more correction got those done but kept my files for the night.I also contacted my clerk and gave them a sitrep on my OT file they confirm that they already had order my pers file

DAY 5 BPSO Consultation and I was briefed  on how. the selection and Bpso recommendation worked. The big lines were; they are letting 5 person from my trade bosn out this year and my new trade is missing around 20.I had score high enough on the aptitude test to continue my OT so I went back to the office and gave my file back to my COC but before that i made a colored photocopy of all documents with my platoon cmdr signature  and got the files recorded by the division for proper tracking.

So this was my week,.next week i need to get my div to sign it and clercks to double check my files. My goal is to get everything to the CO desk by wesnesday.Once the files is given to CO i will contact clerk to confirm and. will forward that email  to the BPSO and save all email  to keep track of the key date of my file

So i was told that my file was being sent to the CO desk today ,3 weeks before the application cut off date.I contacted The training school where my TQ3 training will be giving and obtained a copy of the  Training plan in order to be more knowledgable for the bpso interview which i think is the next step ??

quick update i  talked to my clerk today she confirm that the file was on the captadj  desk .If he finds the content and format proper it will be  brought to the CO at the end of the afternoon .if not it will be sent  back down for correction. So if i havent heard nothing by the end of the day tomorrow it is a good sign.
