He's coming to my town for a reading/seminar session. Stupid question, but, should I go? Has anyone ever heard him speak before? I REALLY admire him, and he's one of my heros. Thing is, the session is REALLY expensive.

Worth it?  :warstory:

He's an excellent speaker and a really interesting guy, but I'm not sure I would pay to see him.  How much is REALLY? expensive?

What subject is he advertised to be speaking about?  Most recently he is on a book-selling tour for his relatively new release "They fight like soldiers, they die like children".

There is a free youtube interview here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPAJP2v3q8s, a 5 part series here given at Carleton U on March 7, 2011: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rh9CeoU8TpM&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kAwdksEIT0
or you could have paid $23-33 to attend this one: http://www.ticketatlantic.com/en/home/otherevents/lieutenantgeneralhonourableromeodallaire.aspx

I've had the pleasure to see him speak twice. Once I paid and the other he came to my school. Both times were well worth it and I highly recommend seeing him if you have the chance. Especially cause he's one of your hero's, you should go.
