Prince William inspects Lord Strathcona Horse Artillery at the Departure ceremony

Lord Strathcona Horse Artillery? Is there such thing? If so, why can't I find any other information about this?

Gold. I'm definitely sending this to the SSM who was on parade. I'm sure he'll be pleased to know that he's a gunner.  ;D

There is no such Regiment, unless there has been a recent Amalgamation I havent heard of.  The article is most likely talking about the Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians) or the 1st Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery, or both.

E-mail will be sent to the author of the caption tomorrow.

I cringed pretty hard, because I was sure that such a unit didn't exist.

The Royal Departure Guard of Honour was mostly made up of members of Recce Sqn, LdSH(RC). I believe the band was the Artillery band, which is where the error in reporting likely took place.

The picture with it shows Soldiers with the RCHA

Yes, that was the RCHA Band:

Tasked as the Departure Guard for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Recce Sqn provided a 100 man Guard of Honor along with the Guidon Party.  A Battery of Guns from 41 CBG fired a 21-Gun salute and the RCHA Band played the music for the event.

Still doesn't beat when one PAFFO interviewed Cpl Carl Gustav from the Mounted Tp. Now that was funny.

In spite of the article on the  LdSH(RC) Society website saying so, it wasn't the "RCHA Band," as there is no such thing.  Likely was the "RCA Band."
