I noticed that in the support trades board, you get medic, sigs, etc. Have you (you forum masters) ever been asked for sub boards for other "support" trades, such as 600 series trades (construction guys), or logistics? Ok, he're NSE crew and we don't support combat directly, i realise that. There might not be enough people posting on those particular topics anyway...

Thanks for your understanding

Hi delavan,

I'd be happy to create any new boards that would attract sufficient usage. The general rule of thumb for creating new boards is to ferret out a list of links to appropriate topics, and post them with the request. That way it's easy to see there's a definite need, and once the forum is created, these threads can be moved into it to "seed" discussion.

If there aren't a lot of threads already in existince among the various existing boards, odds are there's not enough demand to create a new board.

Cheers
Mike

Thanks for the quick reply!
I agree with you 100% and you're right. I did try to find related topics and it's quite hard.
As you say ,the interest seems to be quite low...

Thanks for your time anyway.

Not enough demand for new sub boards?!?!?, Just take a look at the amount of EME related threads there are out there.  There are over a dozen by my count, Int has close to a dozen and MSE is up there too.  CBT SVC SUPPORT is a really cool moniker, but i think the title is poor one for Logistic in general. After all we don't really fit into either any of the three services we support yet we are expected to fully adapt and integrate ourselves into our environments.
I realise that this is ARMY.CA but in general it is about the CF.

Thats my two cents.

mover1,

If you can find some of those threads and post links here, that would be very helpful. I don't doubt they're out there, just don't have the time to hunt them down, unfortunately.

Cheers
Mike

These three have one or two posts in relation to their trades but being a 933 and knowing other 933 types that frequent the site I am sure there would be an interest on our part.

Hope it helps.

Actually, let's get technical:

Int and Sigs are NOT CSS. They're CS (like the thumperheads used to be before they graduated to Combat Arms).

Anyone for a CS sub-board?

Acorn
(Who really doesn't care - the status-quo is fine by me)

I haven't forgotten this, I'm just struggling with the best way to represent the various trades accurately. Anyone have recommendations for a board layout that is reasonable?

Thanks
Mike

How about just a cut and paste of Mover1's post and sticky it in the forum?

For now, anyways...
