To which I add: "I have no knowledge of any such operations or activities, nor if I had, would I be presently disposed to discuss them" (CPT Willard - Apocalypse Now).

Actually heard at a JTF2 recruiting presentation:

Very big, non-descript fellow in black turtleneck:  "Hey, look guys, it's actually not that hard, I mean, I wasn't a super athlete to start off, and I did it. if I could do it anyone can! "

So there you go, straight from the horse's mouth.  ;D

Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing?  ???

Translation: we need more fodder, and who knows one of you might slip through the cracks.

Is it true they have part time JTF?

I heard the there was a JTF reserve unit and that it's name and location are secret. The training is all part time and they are the best!

If you're going to be a "seamen" you might as well be a "special seamen"  ;D

Do these guys usually rotate back to a regiment or such, or do they stay within the JTF 2 for the remainder of their careers. Special Seaman,  ;D

Anyone read the un-official book about JTF 2? "Canada's Special Forces"?

Any truth to it you think? Or is it just a bunch of hog-wash. I've read it, I'm just not sure what to beleive in it.

I've got a real question though, for reservists, it requires a component transfer? What happens when you're done you're stay with JTF 2? You go home to your reserve unit again? Get rolled into a reg force unit?

A member of our unit just came back from serving with them. I've seen him around during the Queens Cup, so I wouldnt be surprised if you are given a choice to either go Reg or back to your reserve unit.

I heard they have JTF cadets too - and they use little tiny kite sites on their little tiny rifles ::)
