Well, I've always been interested in joining the CF army reserve when I turned 16, now I am 17, though I've had a bit of a change in my life plans. I've been thinking about joining the CF, working in the CF as I go through University, and after my time with the CF, move the Britain and enlist in their Paratroop or Royal Marines with the intent on applying to a specialist unit (ex. SAS). I know it's a long shot, but I'd imagine that my time in the CF, and in the British army would prepare me for that, along with the many books I've read, though I'm wondering what you guys think.

Is it easier to transfer to Britain's army after serving in the CF? (I've already got a sponsor there, and read up on all of the rules of getting myself there.)

Thanks.

I think you should spend some time reading the different forums here and using the search function. A perusal of the Conduct Guidelines probably wouldn't hurt right off either. I think you should start with those suggestions.

For the rest of you, especially the one that isn't even enlisted, if you've got nothing pertinent to add, don't.

There are already threads regarding enlistment with the UK Armed Forces...please use the Search function.
