So how many of you drop the Army Card for term-papers.

"I'd love to get it in on time... BUT..... I'm a full time student work a 20 hour a week part time Job and I'm on a military Ex. the week before it's due, how about a month?"   ;D

Or am I the only wanker that does that?

Can't - I can legitimately claim both full-time student and full-time military status but since I have no duties or training to perform (aside from attending class) except during the summer, I'd be lying and my current prof of two courses would know it since he's an ex-engineer with 15 yrs in and extensive experience with snot-nosed civi-U ROTPers.

Yeah.. I had to do a term paper... once.. last year... in my optional history class (History of Modern Warfare). I wrote it on the Soviet's stuggle  to adapt to fighting the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan.

No term papers in engineering Just way too many lab reports, assignments, and exams. 2.1 finals this week (the .1 is because I don't count that course as a real course), then classes end, and I get into a nice relaxing 2 exams a week until I'm done on the 27th.. (ironically with 2 final exams on my birthday).

And when I say done, I mean done! I'm graduating! yeehaw!

what, don't you enjoy writing 120 - 150 page essays and then defending them in front of 3 PhDs?   How can anyone *NOT* like that!?

Thanks for the nasty flashback, and for the record you can't start writing your thesis the night beforeit's due.. Two nights before it's due is however acceptable. :-X

I have a confession to make. I think I have an internet addiction.

I have 3 term papers + exam on Friday and I am about 5% complete. I  disconected my internet cable from the computer, but eerily enough I still caught myself clicking the internet button on the toolbar. That's when I knew I had an addiction. what should I do?

Here's the sad thing.. I have 3 due by Thursday night at 4 (and i'm still online)

remove your cables, and sadly, yes, get your mom or best friend in residence
or someone on your ass.  If you can't stop going on line.. a little kick in the butt
is what you need.  Or... I can have Mike from ARmy.ca remove your account until
you're finished.

Just finished a 10 page report on the Life Cycle Analysis of a bus.  What fun.  Actually had to get a one week extension (the good thing about distance learning).  It's not that I procrastinate.  It's that it seems that everytime I have a paper due I always seem to get the shaft at work that whole week prior.  Even after extending everything for a week I still got scr%$%d.  Was away on a 2 day course that completely drained me physically (nothing better than drowning 7 times each day) and gave me two other days to toss out for travel.  Then, thinking I'll take Monday off to finish the paper, am told that I am on duty this week.  Wonderful.  I was not happy today.  It's a good thing I'm not flying tomorrow since I think I would be a little tired.
