Edited to add: considering the USN had to sail the Harry S Truman CSG as a SAG, ie a carrier strike group without the carrier, and how Ford is doing, QE might find a role in the Alliance bigger than was thought...
The US should help subsidize the F35b for allies, so they can rotate onto carriers and encourage the construction of ships like the Aussie HMAS Canberra with decks, lifts and hangers capable of carrying them.
I would have thought a Corgi would have been the QE's mascot. ;D
All joking aside, I don't know if there is a way to get the TV show mentioned at the top of this thread, but for those who have the Smithsonian channel (available in Canada through your cable/satellite/internet TV provider), they are currently running the short series called Rise of the Supercarrier that takes you onboard the QE from the RN first crew starting to set up onboard prior to commissioning and through builders trials, RN trials and work ups and all the way to achieving operational clearance to start operational testing to bring her to certification. (Tuesdays at 8:00 PM)
