I ran across this article about the German Hetzer or Jagdpanzer 38t. The front armor was sloped reducing the crew size to 3 seated in a row.

Czechs' Skoda Panzerkampfwagen 38(t) of Wehrmacht was much better than Panzer II and vital to campaigns against Poland (1939), France (1940), and Yugoslavia, Greece (1941) and USSR (1941, 1942)--very good Jagdpanzer 38(t) used the chassis:

The Chieftain (Nicholas Moran) did a piece on his youtube channel on the Hetzer.

He said it was one of the most ergonomically miserable armoured vehicles that he has ever been inside...

I have crawled around in it, i agree with the Chieftain on tht, for cost and reusing a dated by otherwise good hull, it's was a good use of funds and production capability. It also had an early RWS on it.
