I admit I am not the seller however thought that it might be worth mentioning that the RN has put HMS Invincible up for sale.

The HMCS Niobe was a "used RN ship."

So were these ships of the Royal Canadian Navy:

HMCS Aurora (light cruiser)
HMCS Rainbow (cruiser)

HMCS Uganda, later renamed HMCS Quebec (light cruiser) was commissioned into the RN in 1943, and transferred to the RCN in 1944.

HMCS Magnificent (light fleet carrier) was laid down and launched by the RN, and bought by Canada  in 1946.

HMCS Bonaventure (light fleet carrier) was laid down and launched by the RN as HMS Powerful, but bought by Canada after the Second World War before her construction was finished.

HMCS Cape Breton (escort maintenance ship) was orginally built for the RN as HMS Flamborough Head in 1944 and was transferred to the RCN in 1952. See also HMCS Cape Scott, which was built for the RN as HMS Beachy Head in 1944 and transferred to the RCN in 1950.

This list is by no means complete. I think that ex-RN ships have served very well in the Royal Canadian Navy (and the Canadian Navy for naming accuracy).

If there is no buyer found, yes she will be scrapped.

The answer is simple. Nothing, as there is no catapult.
 
Invincible has the ski jump on it for the Sea Harriers to use...no need for cats since they got rid of the Buccaneers and Phantoms.

The last RN carrier built with catapults was HMS Ark Royal and she was decomissioned in 1979 and scrapped in 1980.

In any event, Invincible is too old at 31 years of age with not enough life left in her, uses systems controls that are too antiquated to offer the reduced manning of more modern similar ships thus requiring a large crew the Navy hasn't got, and finally, would require the acquisition of Harrier jump jets to operate profitably - which we do not have and for which there are no longer production lines.
 
Or we could just use it as a BHS.....save us from another GTS Katie incident by letting us drive a hangar full of "stuff" to wherever we want/need it to go.

(Reality is that there's no way we could support it....)

Unfortunately, that would require a prohibitive refit. Unlike HMS OCEAN or other phibs/merchant ships, her hangar is inaccessible from the side of the hull or over the stern through either a ramp or a well. You would have to load every piece of equipment one by one using a harbour crane of sufficient size to lower it on the flight deck, then drive it piece by piece to the elevator and lower it into the hangar and then tie it down, even though right now she is not set with tie down points for anything other than airplanes., Then at the other end, you would have to reverse the process.
