Colonel Robert L Howard who died on Dec. 23, was 70, was to be buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.
Ret. Colonel Robert L Howard, a Medal of Honor recipient who was awarded eight Purple Hearts for his service in the Vietnam War. Col Howard served 54 months of combat duty in Vietnam. Of his 36yrs of service he was on airborne status for 33 yrs.
Col Howard is a man they make movies about! He actually appeared in two movies with John Wayne.
