On Friday 30 May 08, as part of Canadian Forces Day celebrations, a Walk/Run in Red event will take place in downtown Ottawa. Rain or shine.
Time: Participants form up at 1200 hrs and start at 1230 hrs.
Where: Starting point: Pedestrian Bridge on the Colonel By side. Finishes at Confederation Park by 1330 hrs.
New: Walkers, due to time constraints the 3.5 km route is strongly suggested. Runners Go at your own pace! Choose from the 3.5 km or 7.0 km routes.
The walk/run is an excellent opportunity to celebrate CF Day and to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness culture within the CF.
All military personnel and DND civilian employees located in the NRC are encouraged to participate.
By wearing red on this Friday event, you are showing your continued support to our troops!
Participants will be grouped within their Commands, ECS' or Level 1s to encourage esprit de corps.
Please indicate your tentative participation to your EA or designated L1s representative, via your chain of command, by 26 May 08.
If you are a person with a disability, please self-identify to the EA and a volunteer will be assigned to assist you.
