Apparently, three Excalibur rounds went missing during mission closeout, and were ultimately written off as lost.

IIRC, between 2007 and 2011, at least two did not accept a fuse setting and were returned to KAF ammo supply point, and should have been returned to the US
It is possible there were others that did not take a setting and were returned as well
Not sure how well that was tracked; I do recall there was quite a bit of confusion about what to do the first time it happened

Still, makes you wonder how in the hell can you misplace something like that
 
Not to worry, but they are probably in a building somewhere, under a pile of crap that no one wants but no one will throw out for fear "we might need it one day".

How stable are these rounds?
