Okay, did a search for "arm pockets".. no luck.  I am heading over in August and just received my AR combats.  Is there anywhere in QC or NB that I can get my arm pockets added?  Anyone have a template or instructions for doing the modification?

On another note, has anyone heard of any developments with regards to arm pockets??  I know at one point the discussion was heading towards larger shoulder pads for our frag vests.. anything?

Looks like they did it... http://www.combatcamera.forces.gc.ca/netpub/server.np?find&catalog=photos&template=detail_e.np&field=itemid&op=matches&value=21655&site=combatcamera

Buzz,

I am not 100% sure what the current Roto did however the one previous sent 2 shirts in when arrivig in theater and the BG paid to have the pockest put on the combats sleeves, you may want to ask around before spending your own money when you can spend the Army's money instead. I know the Tailor on the borad walk did them all up.

Yeah, I had heard of that.. but if I can get my niner domestic to do it before we head over then I have more time to doink around when I get to KAF.  I just marked all the kit I got today..whew!!

You wont loose anytime really you turn them into your CQ staff and they take care of it.

I hated marking all that kit it just never seemed to end LMAO

Things may have changed from 1-06 & 3-06, but the direction then was that soldiers would not do it themselves.

The crew that took over from us did have pockets on there frag vest shoulder/sleeve protection

I was going to rant and rave about not having them, but whatever.  Thanks for the more indepth search than I did MCG.. I am sure I even posted on those threads...

At least I don't have to worry about Permethrining them.. it's already been done by PAT platoon!!!
