No I read the keystone article...
Ok, thanks.
No I read the keystone article...
It's a very well written and thought provoking paper. But it does not support either of Mr. Corcoran's title or your pronouncement, nor does it actually evaluate the effectiveness/necessity of lockdowns.
Regardless, lockdowns were required.Regardless, lockdowns, as a whole, were a mistake.
I don't know about that. At the time, experts who wrote emergency pandemic plans were frustrated those plans were completely disregarded. As we also now know one tiny fraction of people censored (via social media and MSM) world leading experts who spoke contrary to the lockdowns.Regardless, lockdowns were required.
Both of us are correct and both of us are wrong.
But at least I'm not chasing my tail.
That tail must smell real good...I don't know about that. At the time, experts who wrote emergency pandemic plans were frustrated those plans were completely disregarded. I'd like to hope we don't make the same mistakes again, but the consistent practice of burying ones head up an ass will see the same mistakes repeated.
Friend of mine is actually the COVID safety supervisor for a film studio in Canada. It’s been very important to their business continuity throughout the pandemic to absolutely hammer precautions and prevent avoidable spread and says lost due to illness. Probably one of the most militant industries in that regard.A friend of ours in the Canadian film industry tells us the Covid policy remains:
Proof of vaccination.
Regular / routine Covid testing at a lab. Not the DIY kit at home.
Masks on set, when not in front of a camera.

The film industry is notoriously cheap. But they also recognize that lost time is lost money.Friend of mine is actually the COVID safety supervisor for a film studio in Canada. Never heard of it.Canadian film industry
Then you don’t watch movies. A ton of major US stuff is shot in Vancouver and Toronto areas. We’ve got a pretty significant film production industry, and by no means just ‘Canadian’ shows and films.Never heard of it.
It’s not like a Canadian film producer holds the top 2 of 3 films in the highest grossing films of all times and lots of Canadian cities double for New York, Chicago, Seattle, etc.Never heard of it.

Some CGI was, but the Director and Exec Producer was also Canadian.I had no idea that was filmed in Canada
