Thank you all for your input about AESOp.

I would like to receive more detailed information about Airborne Electronic Sensor Operator from those who presently work in this trade, love their jobs and who are supportive of training new recruits for this position.

Please contact me through email or send this letter to an AESOp that fits my above requirements. I’ve formulated a list of about 20 questions that would be most insightful in helping one to make an informed decision. I also welcome any insights from soldiers who work in the air force.

Thank you for your support and hope to see you soldiers in the sky.

Your profile is empty.  You have not been a long time contributor to this site.  You are an unknown.

One must remember that Canadian Forces personnel often perform duties in their daily jobs that are covered by the National Defence Act and Security Acts, Policies, and Orders that may restrict what is released to persons not holding the proper Security Clearances and Accesses.  This may mean that some things are not permitted to be divulged to the public.  Any questions and any answers given must keep these points in mind.

D-Fly - post your questions in this thread and I am sure they will be answered <if possible>.

I highly doubt that a serving AESOP will email you out of the blue, thus destroying his/her anonymity on this board.

Oh i will play 20 questions. How about you post them here, it might help someone else later.

Hi Dragon Fly,

Echoing cdnaviator's comments, it would be beneficial for yourself and others looking to join the AES Op trade if you post your questions here.  There's about half-a-dozen AES Ops with various backgrounds and experience here on the board (myself included).

In your search for more info on the trade I'd encourage you to take a read of:

Good luck with your research!
