Here is my predicament I recently accepted an offer at rmc for air defence arty well so I thought, when i went to confirm with the recruiting Mcpl she informed me that there was no such thing as a non air defence arty officer, well let me say i found this hard to believe?  But the again I do not Know??  No I have been serving for 2 years inb the british columbia dragoons(reserve armoured reg0 and have a very limited knowlege of what arty officers do or Ncos for that matter but seeing as it was my only offer i took it? If anyone could shed some light on this subject I would appreciate

The above link provides some good details on being an arty officer.  Artillery officers are trained in both field and air defence artillery.  There isn't a separte military occupation specifically for air defence officer.  They are much too small a corps to do that.

Cheers,
