Does anyone else see what looks like a shell stuck in the action at 5:50 into the video?

You are right, there was a stoppage at 5:50. Looks like the shell did not ramp into the chamber properly.

None works well -- its been played with since the old Achisson Assault gun of the RVN period

12ga does not have the profile to feed that well.
