A Deeply Fractured US

The majority of his audience were Republican voters and people that voted for him last election. That was by design given that this town hall was for the primary audience. They said so from the get go.

I’m sure he won’t lose any support but he provided a snapshot of what to expect. He’s pretty much going to abandon Ukraine. That is all I need to hear from that guy.
Hes done it to other nations before, look at the Kurds or Afghanistan. Great way to encourage people to side with America /sarcasm

🤣 All after one interview. This thread should really get going during the primaries. Take a breath and watch your blood pressure.😎

It'll be fun to watch if it comes down to Biden and Trump. Which will be the lessor of two evils?😏😁

Trump wouldn’t even criticize Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

He’s unelectable.
That's what they said the first time Kev.😉

Everyone knows where I stand anyway, I'm going to attempt to limit my input when it comes to the campaign and candidates. My opinion means nothing to their election so there's no sense me getting worked up over it.

I'll save my angst for trudeau and singh.😁

I’m waiting to see what other presidential candidate has the nuts to sit unscripted, live, with a hostile journalist for over an hour.

He is simply out for himself and will drag anyone stupid enough not to see it along with him.
This isn’t a legit criticism. If he were out for himself he would have set himself up during term 1 and stayed out of politics after that one. He would have worked with and continue to shill for the corrupt establishment and in particular the ruling dems/reps to scratch everyones back at the expense of the people.

Comparing his policies and actions during his term to Obama‘s and Biden’s is the better way. Otherwise it’s just emotional.

Designed in the 1940s to measure how easy it is to read and understand a text, the readability test factors word and sentence length to determine a text’s grade level. Scores range from 1 to 100, with 100 being the easiest to read and 1 being the most difficult. A score between 60 and 70 indicates an eighth- or ninth-grade reading level.

Flesch’s readability formula inspired lawmakers across the country in the 1970s to use the test to make insurance policies easy-to-read for everyday consumers. In 1975, scientist J. Peter Kincaid refined the formula into the Flesch-Kincaid Readability test to help U.S. Navy personnel improve technical documents.

Non emotionally he was way more corrupt and National Security was significantly impeded.

Remember I was a Trump guy at the beginning, but he’s legitimately the worst possible option at this point.
I really don’t like the current POTUS, but I’ll vote Biden over Trump if that end up being my choice in ‘24.

And he’s left himself in the perfect position to broker a peace deal.
Abandoning Ukraine to defeat and surrender may result in ‘peace’ the same way Poland was ‘peaceful’ in 1940-1944, but that’s not a ‘peace deal’. Trump’s made it clear he would roll over and abase America to Putin on the issue of Ukraine’s independent existence. He may consider that ‘a deal’, but it isn’t one with Ukraine present at the table.

Can you imagine that stuttering, bumbling idiot Biden try to get through a sentence on Live Tv? His handlers would never put him in that position.

You have zero idea what negotiating the end of that war would look like.

In 2017 he told the European union to pull up their socks. Many Demanded the US leave Europe and they sorta did. He also told Germany point blank they better beef up their defence as Russia was coming, all they did was decrease their military. If I was Trump Id pretty much tell Europe to kick rocks. You cant demand we pull out then demand we fight your battles for you. This would have been a great time for Western Europe to stand together and deal with Russia's aggression in their Eastern flank. Instead they chocked and once again demanded the US be the lead but only after many of the "european allies" tried to broker deals with russia at Ukraine's expense. Thank crap Britain seen through all the crap as well as the Scandinavian Countries and the US jumped on board.

You’re free to believe that, but quite a few of us have paid attention to what Trump actually said. He has refused to pick a side in the conflict or to name Putin as a war criminal- clearly he sees Ukrainian sovereignty as negotiatble. He thinks this is like some shady casino real estate deal he can throw bluster and garbage lawyers at. If he wants to push inanities like “I could end the war in a day”, he can go right ahead and say those things, but all the serious people will pat him on the head and reserve him a spot at the kids’ table, with a fresh bottle of ketchup.

Fortunately, he doesn’t get another kick at the cat for another 20 months or so, so Ukraine has a chance.
