Thank you both for your reply.
I would like to go to a military health clinic, but still, what I am worried about is if my medical docs are reviewed in the future when I am up for promotion, and my supervisors read about my past mental health problem.
Basically what I am saying is that I am...
Good day,
I just completed basic training, and I really need to see a psychologist. I'm worried about my results getting attached to my pers file, so I am considering seeing a civilian psychologist. The only problem is is that they are very expensive and I don't have the money. Are there any...
Am I allowed to work on a base or any military establishment if I have no uniform nor training whatsoever?
My school term is almost over, and there are a few weeks from when I finish my last exam till the start of my BMOQ course. I either have to be on some sort of leave, or working at a base...
Why doesn't everyone who's applying for ROTP this year share a bit about your application process, what you've applied for, how far you are.
I can't believe how dead this forum is compared to last year's
@DirtOnMyBoots
I was kind of in the same situation, except it was my mother who was disapproving of my career choice. I knew before I even applied that she wouldn't approve. I ended up telling her about a week before my enrolment ceremony. She understood that it was what I wanted to do, but she...
I would just like to add onto Navy Beans' comment. The real CFAT is more difficult than the questions on that app. The spatial ability questions in particular. Although, the app is still really good practice for the real thing.
Time pressure will probably be your number 1 problem. Make sure...
Having a degree is more than just a check off the box. It shows that you know how to LEARN. University shapes your mind, and to think critically. These skills you can't pick up anywhere else. If an officer/officer cadet isn't able to put himself/herself through university, what does that mean?
I am in the same boat as you.
I was enrolled about two weeks before school started as an ROTP officer cadet. In all of British Columbia, there were only two of us that actually got this offer at such a weird time, so yes, very rare. I heard that this a new thing that just started this year. I...
I just got an email recently for all Vancouver Civvie U students to attend an SEM briefing and ARV's at the end of the month, and that it is considered as a parade and attendance is mandatory. Does anyone know what this is? The extent of the email is that it is to conduct annual readiness of...
mcglone,
I am the BCIT student that swore in with you last Wednesday. You should have been given a form when you left the CFRC titled "PROTECTED A" at the top. look at the bottom of the page, at row 6.B. There should be a phone number with the name of the ULO.
Hope this helps.
Does anyone know when the CAF finishes their ROTP selections? I have to pay my tuition for my university program by June 1st. Any idea if we find out by then if we get accepted or declined?
only 14 spots left out of 22? wow that is a bit worrying. I was merit listed for aere in December and i haven't heard a word yet. I got my acceptance to BCIT mechanical engineering but id still way rather join the military rather than go to civyU
