Well I wrote my CFAT on a Wednesday and got a call to book an interview and medical on the following Friday, so it definitely doesn't take a year.  However, after the test they did tell me to expect to wait 3-4 months before being contacted to book interview/medical.  I think it all comes down...

Did anyone hear about the white poppy last year? I am not sure if they've been around for a while or just showed up last year... Anyways, people claim they wear them because the red poppy supports war, just stupid and insulting. I really hope they don't make a return this year.

No, I got the job offer almost two weeks ago and haven't got anything yet. In a different post on this forum there is a link to all the info they send you in the mail. I think it is in the "bmq biography" post... not positive though.

I'm going to St. Jean for November 1st as well, got offered a combat engineer job.  I'm pretty excited as well, should be a great experience. 

I just got a job as a combat engineer today!  I am pumped! Needless to say some beers will be flowing tonight. BMQ Nov 3 Good luck to everyone waiting! It'll come and it is worth it when it does.

I was told there are 2 combat engineer selection dates in November. I think I was told the 3rd and 25th or something around those dates.

An autobiography? You seriously have to write an autobiography to bring with you to BMQ? What is the reasoning behind this?

Dress shirt, pants and shoes.  Wear a tie if you want.  To look professional will do nothing but help you. Chances are you will be interacting with the same people multiple times at your CFRC so you might as well make a good first impression.  Like someone posted above, it's a sign of respect...

I heard on here the July selection date for combat engineer did not happen, does anyone know if there is one between now and November? Is it even a possibility they can add selection dates for hiring trades or is it decided annually?

So I think I just got merit listed? I had to provide new references and because of this I was in contact with the outsourced company doing my reference check.  The worker just called me to inform me my "background check is complete". Does this mean I am merit listed or does the DND look over...

I remember being young watching Mrs. Doubtfire with my dad and mimicking the "help is on they way dear!" scene when he saves pierce brosnon. We would jump over the couch haha.  It's sad he is gone.
