I love that little part, warranting only two sentances. For those who've been, how many damn times have we heard about some TB explosion in a crowded market or street, randomly killing Afghan civilians.. But that's not quite as newsworthy in Canada as Canadian soldiers dealing with the realities...

I liked last Valentines day... I was on an airbus flying back into Canada from the funny country. Got home around 4 in the morning on the 15th.  ;D Works good wether you're single or not.... If all goes well, next year's v-day I'll be back in the funny country. Another halmark holiday avoided...

I had an amusing drive into work this morning in Edmonton... It's nice having a Jeep... Popped it into 4x4 for the dodgier parts, turned up the heat and tuned into a good satellite radio channel.. then spent the entire commute dodging stupid drivers. Apparently many traffic laws no longer apply...

So true.. It's one of those situations where you have no idea how you will react until you're there, and it happens to you. He reacted by getting ready to protect his mates and himself from a TB attack despite his injuries.. Good on him. Proves the high caliber of Canadian troops. Speedy recovery.
