My interview updated 2.5 months ago, medical cleared 1 month ago, Background and security check was done mid Nov, 2013 (valid for a year?). Why can't I be granted to the Merit List? Since DEO selection is very near, what can I do to beside waiting and miss the boat?

Just wondering if my previous interview just expired last week. Shall I wait for the local RC to call me to re-arrange another interview update or Shall I call them? I'm sorry, if this is a stupid question.
