    General enquiry

On my basic, we had 4 Asian recruits and one of them was 50 yrs old!  There were also Asian's on my BMQ-L......so the fact that you're Asian, well it doesn't really matter!

    Not meeting physical requirments

If you get sent to WFT, you will have a practice test every Monday.  If you reach the required amt on the beep test and/or push-ups, then you will be retested on the Wednesday, and if you are successful at all 4 components then you will be loaded on the next platoon.

    Not meeting physical requirments

I agree completely, Brihard!  We (yes that includes me) should have been tested even before the interview process.  Maybe one day they will figure out that it's a waste of funding not to test possible candidates prior to sending them off to basic. And maybe those who are sitting on PAR (for 6-8...

    Not meeting physical requirments

LOL! One isn't "silently" judged.  Those on Warrior (I am there.....took 38 days to get my "proper" push-ups, and now I'm waiting for a new platoon to arrive) are judged on a daily/very loud basis.  We are judged by both staff and fellow candidates.  So, if you don't want to throw your kit into...

    QL3 Course dates

CF site says 16 weeks.  I'm wondering if various groups will be starting at different times throughout those dates.  Neither of us will be finished BMQ in time for this year if it's not as I'm thinking.....

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Teflon!  Perhaps I'll let my leadership experiences, volunteer experiences, sports participation, graduating from the PN program with Honours and being on the Dean's list speak to my skills.  But if anyone asks while I'm on BMQ, I'll let them know that I did...

Unfortunately, I didn't even think to measure the pads!  Just asked if they had Legal size in stock....

    Autobiography Thread (merged)

Not trying to be an a$$, but did you check the actual sizing on the package?  I live in a rural community, and our local Staples didn't have anything that resembled "Legal" sized pads (hence the reason for checking online and coming up with the info in my previous post), but one of the small...

LOL!  My sister went into Staples looking for 8.5" X 14" ruled note pads.  They didn't have any on the shelf, and couldn't even find a spot for that size!!  So I went online to check for a product #.  They don't have the above noted "size".....but when you search for Legal note pads, this is...
