The info in my previous reply turned out to be incorrect. I have my posting message now and it states I will be receiving my former NCM pay grade while serving as an OCdt, I checked with the OR as well and everything looks good.
Found this thread when searching and thought I would add my info as well for others that might be in a similar situation.
I had 8 years of reg force time when I released. Just under 2 years later I re-enrolled though ROTP and will be an OCdt receiving OCdt basic pay. I was told if I were...
I received a pleasant surprise this week, I was accepted to ROTP as an ACSO and get to continue my studies at Carleton U. At this point I had already come to terms with not getting selected and was starting to focus on next years application.
I'm a little late to the party but I'm curious as to why you'd make Steward your second choice, that's a night and day difference. For all that time talking up the infantry life, it would make more sense to have other combat arms trades selected.
I'm not at RMC but judging by the daily routine schedule ( http://www.rmc.ca/lar-vac/dr-etq-eng.asp ), I think you would have a hard time completing any extra courses.
If you want to be like that...you're saying you know a number of CF applicants that do not use this website, but unless some of those are holding ROTP-civi offers, it does not pertain to the discussion.
This is getting too far off topic, let's try to keep it about ROTP, otherwise just send me a PM.
I'm sorry but it does not. It was a pretty simple question and no picture response was required. I guess I can try to make it easier:
1. I know
2. I think
Now all you have to do is respond with "1" or "2"
I had to sign some paper work at CFRC Ottawa, I asked about ROTP while there and they said they haven't sent out any offers but should have them ready in the next few days
Go for it, looks like you've made some progress and are in a better situation then last time. It doesn't really matter what anyone on a message board "thinks", you just need the approval of those at the CFRC.
I was just about to say this as well, if the reaction is as minimal as you describe you could probably find someone else that's willing to remove the epi-pen prescription.
So you get your question answered directly from a member of the CF recruiting staff yet come to an unofficial information source to confirm the answer....you have it backwards.
That's unfortunate, military members getting involved in fights are nothing new, had the other guy not hit his head on the pavement it probably wouldn't have gone any further.
Just apply and take the test, if you pass; great, If you don't; try for NCM or something else. The testing is there to filter out the best potential candidates, not everyone passes.
