I apologize for the jumpy assumption that I received through word of mouth earlier today. The Vancouver Hospital was locked down as a precautionary measure because 12 Field Ambulance (I think) operates from there.

I just received word that something involving a terrorist act is happening right now at the Vancouver Hospital. No official reports yet, but I have been told that the hospital is being cleared out and locked down.

Why not leave your application in?? You can always reapply next year, but what if you get one of those 10 spots? IMO, withdrawing would be foolish. If you don't make it in this year, it would show that you're adamant about obtaining this career when you apply again next year. That's what I did.

Would wearing a former CF member's dog tags fall under this offence? There's a guy who's been wearing his uncle's CF ID discs outside his shirt in my area, sporting them like thinks they make him bulletproof.

Class C, pay level A for ROTP. ~1299.97 after deductions for first year civi-u OCdts. Then you have deductions for rations and quarters ($600ish?) at RMC. When you're on BMOQ, you are still Class C, paying rations (and quarters if you don't have a lease elsewhere). Someone might be able to jump...

I'm curious. Did CFRC London hold a satellite CFAT appointment for applicants in Windsor, or did you have to travel to London?

With that said, perhaps this incident should be reported by the poster to his/her local CFRC (or CFRC North Bay if appropriate) to verify the legitimacy of the G4S call. Just my two cents.

ROTP is very competitive. Recruiters look for high grades, leadership experience, volunteering, and athleticism. In addition, you must score competitively on the CFAT and, more importantly, your interview. You can apply this September, or you can wait until you graduate (like I did 6 years...
