I've heard that if infantry is your number one choice on your application (whether it be reserve or regs) that, unless something is wrong with your medical or BMQ, they will not decline you for infantry.  So I was wondering (that since infantry is the only main thing that interests me, right now...

I have a friend who says his dad was a Lieutenant in the Polish army...which (I'm assuming) he couldn't be anymore since they live in Canada now...but he tells me that when they visited Poland when his dad was still in the Polish army (while living in Canada?) he was not only allowed on base...

This hasn't happened yet...but just in case it does I need to know... I'll more then likely be joining the QOR (or at least putting in my application) in January to hopefully be a reservist for the end of hockey season (March - April)...but because I live at home with my parents it's their way...

I've been emailing a member of the QOR personnel for the last few days, asking questions about the training and how it works and I've got it down pat now and know exactly what I'll have to do in order to hopefully become a paratrooper in the Canadian Forces...but there was one thing he wasn't...

As if this site hasn't been enough of a help to me so far...I need to ask yet another favour... Any and all websites that would be helpful for a newcomer to check would be great. One important site (unless someone as the answer off hand) would be one telling me where the recruitment stations...

I've been asked a question by a friend in the states that I can't answer because I'm not in the army, and frankly I'd like to know the answer as well... He asked; "A Basic Tour in the U.S. is 4 years, what is it in Canada?"

Hey everybody; I turn 16 in a couple weeks and have gotten VERY interested in our army, specifically the paratroopers (I'm not ever sure if our paratroopers are called SkyHawks, I got lost on the army.gc.ca site), and I still dont know much if anything about our army so please dont get upset...
